காஞ்சி மஹாசுவாமிகள் மேல் கவிஞர் கண்ணதாசன் பாடிய கவிதை: 

பார்த்த மாத்திரத்தில் பாவத்தை அலம்புகின்ற

தீர்த்தப் பெருக்கு திருவாசகத்தின் உட்கருத்து

கூர்த்த மதியால் மெய்ஞானக் கருத்துணர்த்தும் முழுமூர்த்தம்

கலிமொய்க்கும் இவ்வுலகைக் காக்கவந்த கண்கண்ட தெய்வம்

RETURNING TO THE SOURCE IN STYLE The Bhagavad Gita Verses 27 & 28 makes it very clear what should be attempted at the point of death. "Shutting out all external sense objects, keeping the eyes and vision concentrated between the two eyebrows, suspending the inward and outward breaths within the nostrils, and thus controlling the mind, senses and intelligence, the aspirant aiming at liberation becomes free . One who is in this state contemplating Brahman, is certainly liberated, or in the next life will be reborn into a better spiritual environment". For those who have not reached Self Realisation in this life , this is the best opportunity, as at the point of death, total Unconditional Surrender is relatively easy, as there is nothing now left to hang onto, which normally makes Self Surrender only partial.

MAHASWAMIGAL ON THE THREE COLOUR STRIPES IN OUR NATIONAL FLAG: There are three stripes in our National Flag. They are of dark green, white and orange colours. These colours seem to indicate to us, that military strength for protection from enemies and evil, wealth for welfare and prosperity, and knowledge for the sake of proper administration are essential for the nation. It may be remembered that dark green is the colour of Durga – the Parasakti who is the mother protector, Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity is of orange colour(golden hue) and Saraswathi the source divine of all knowledge is white in colour. It is a happy coincidence that the colour of the three Shakthis(Goddesses of Power) are seen in the three stripes of the National Flag: Mahaswamigal of Kanchi.

நமது தேசியக் கொடியின் பச்சை, வெள்ளை, ஆரஞ்சு பட்டைகளுக்கு நம் பள்ளிகளில் பச்சை பசுமையையும், வெள்ளை தூய்மையையும் ஆரஞ்ச் வீரத்தையும் குறிக்கும் என்று ஆண்டாண்டு காலமாக சொல்லிக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள். மஹா சுவாமிகள் நினைவுறுத்தும் விளக்கம் வேறு: 

இங்கே பச்சை துர்கை அல்லது பராசக்தியைக் குறிக்கிறது. ஆரஞ்சு அல்லது பொன் நிறம் அள்ளிக் கொடுக்கும் மஹாலக்ஷ்மியைக் குறிக்கிறது. சத்துவ தெய்வீக அறிவை, சரஸ்வதித் தாயாரை வெள்ளை நிறம் நினைவூட்டுகிறது. ஆக துர்கை, லக்ஷ்மி, சரஸ்வதி என்று மூன்று தெய்வங்களும் நம் நாட்டுக் கொடிக்கு பக்க பலமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள்.
